About Aaron
Hello! I'm Aaron, a Qualified History Teacher (QTS) with a Master's degree in Modern History and a genuine passion for helping young people develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.
History has always fascinated me because it helps us understand the people, events and decisions that have shaped the world we live in today. I believe it is one of the most important subjects students can study, as it encourages critical thinking, analysis and the ability to question evidence—skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
Before becoming a teacher, I spent over nine years in leadership and management within the hospitality industry. During that time, I discovered how much I enjoyed mentoring, coaching and helping others achieve their goals. That passion ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in education, where I could make a lasting difference to young people's lives.
As a teacher, I strive to create a calm, encouraging and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and challenging themselves. Every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand their strengths and tailor lessons to help them succeed.
Whether you're looking to improve confidence, prepare for GCSE or A Level exams, or simply gain a better understanding of History, my aim is to make lessons engaging, enjoyable and rewarding while helping you achieve your full potential.

I believe the best learning happens when students feel supported, challenged and confident to ask questions. Every lesson is tailored to the individual student, whether they need help catching up with schoolwork, preparing for GCSE or A Level examinations, or aiming for the highest grades.
As a Qualified Teacher (QTS) with a Master's degree in Modern History, I have experience teaching History across KS3, GCSE and A Level, alongside Religious Education, Politics and KS3 English. My classroom experience has helped me develop strategies to explain complex ideas in a clear, engaging and memorable way.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if required. Sessions begin by identifying what the student wants to achieve before focusing on building subject knowledge, developing exam technique and improving confidence. I make regular use of retrieval practice, worked examples, model answers and past examination questions so students understand both the content and how to apply it successfully in assessments.
I adapt every lesson to suit the student's learning style and pace. Whether a student benefits from visual resources, structured note-making, discussion, or step-by-step guidance, my aim is always to create an environment where they feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and developing confidence.

English: KS3
