These classes are specifically designed for undergraduate law students (BALLB, LLB), postgraduate students (LLM), and individuals looking to strengthen their understanding of civil jurisprudence for academic or professional purposes.
I cover the major civil frameworks, including the Code of Civil Procedure (CPC), the Transfer of Property Act (TPA), the Specific Relief Act, the Limitation Act, and the Indian Contract Act. Because my active practice involves managing family and guardianship disputes, we also look closely at personal laws like the Hindu Marriage Act, the Special Marriage Act, and the Guardians and Wards Act. For the law of torts, we focus strictly on uncodified common law principles and fault-based liability, skipping codified consumer protection laws to build a pure understanding of foundational tort concepts.
My teaching method bridges the gap between academic theory and courtroom practice. As a law instructor, practicing advocate, and legal textbook author holding BALLB and LLM degrees, my approach is grounded in strict doctrinal analysis. I teach students how to accurately read statutory provisions, understand legislative intent, and interpret judicial precedents.
A typical class starts with the bare acts and foundational rules. We break down specific sections of the CPC or the property and family acts so you clearly understand the legal rights and remedies. Next, we look at important court judgments to see how the higher courts actually apply these principles. After that, I bring in my direct experience from managing civil disputes to show you how these concepts work in a real courtroom, covering the actual procedural steps involved in filing civil suits, drafting plaints, and establishing jurisdiction. We end the session by working through practice scenarios and clearing any doubts you might have.
