About Athena

Hi, I’m Athena! I’m currently completing my Master’s in Public Health and have a real passion for understanding how the world around us affects our health.

I can tutor across a range of Public Health topics, including health inequalities, epidemiology, health promotion, research methods, public health policy and academic writing. I can also help with assignments, research proposals, dissertations and understanding those papers that make absolutely no sense the first time you read them!

I know how overwhelming university work can feel, especially when you’re trying to understand what an assignment is actually asking you to do. My aim is to make things feel much more manageable by breaking topics down, explaining things in a simple way and working with you to build your confidence.

Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, need help getting started with an assignment or just want someone to talk through your ideas with, I’m happy to help.

Studying public health can feel overwhelming! From dense policy papers, tricky methodology frameworks, and tight assignment deadlines, it’s easy to feel stuck. I’ve been through it myself, so my goal is to make these topics feel clear, manageable, and actually interesting.

Here’s how we can use our time together:
- Unpacking the tough stuff: We can walk through your lecture slides, readings, or coursework step-by-step until the material genuinely makes sense to you.
- Tackling research methods: Whether you’re trying to choose the right study design, map out a literature review, or structure a dissertation proposal, we’ll break the process down so you always know what step to take next.
- Mastering policy & writing: I’ll help you translate complex health issues into sharp policy briefs, structured essays, and well-argued papers that hit all the rubric requirements.
- Every session is low-stress and collaborative. Ask as many questions as you need
