About Sequoia
Hi, I’m Sol! I am a performing vocalist, local band leader, and multidisciplinary artist with a background in behavioral and mental health. My coaching focuses entirely on expressive singing and performance coaching. I am not here to drill you on expert technique or rigid perfection; my goal is to get you deeply comfortable using your voice, building real trust in yourself, and starting off your singing journey with a strong base in your natural form.
Because of my background, I approach vocal coaching through an organic, relational, and somatic lens. I know how intimidating it can be to share your voice, and I specialize in creating a safe, grounded, and fun space where folks can break through anxiety and sing for pure self-expression. Whether you are a total beginner looking to find your confidence or a creative ready to command the stage, I offer personalized lesson planning crafted entirely around your unique goals.

Every voice is unique, and my lessons are tailored entirely to your personal goals, comfort level, and creative journey. Because I practice an organic, somatic-based approach, I don't follow a rigid, one-size-fits-all curriculum. Instead, we work together to build real trust in your natural form, shake off performance anxiety, and cultivate an expressive voice that feels true to you.
Here is a brief overview of how our process works:
The Virtual Vibe Check (Intro Session): We always start with a 1-hour introductory session online. This low-pressure hour is all about getting to know each other, feeling out your goals, and making sure my coaching style matches what you are looking for.
The Agreement Container: If we are a great fit, we will map out a consistent, dedicated schedule together—typically a weekly or bi-weekly block running for 6 to 9 weeks. This structure gives us the momentum needed to build strong habits and assess progress.
Independent, Off-Site Practice: Please note that I operate as an independent freelancer. While we connect initially here on Superprof, our official ongoing communication will move off-site to direct email and phone/text. Our regular lessons are hosted independently via virtual video or coordinated for local in-person sessions.
Whether you want to prep for the open mics, just get comfortable singing in your car or prepare for the stage, our sessions are a collaborative, safe, and fun space to explore what you can do with an engaging teacher and fellow student of music!
