About Svenja
Teaching Yoga is my passion ~ I have been teaching for 1.5 years since completing my 2-year yoga-teacher-training with over 700 units (45 min per unit).
I am certified by the BDY (Germany) and Yoga Alliance (International).
As a former gymnast and gymnastics coach, I have a deep passion and sense for movement: movement with intention, movement married to the breath, movement for physical and mental balance.

Mix and match - I like to combine a classic, rather static Hatha-Yoga Approach (Swami Sivananda) with dynamic flow elements.
I myself practice yoga including it's spiritual components, I am very open to chanting, OM, chakra work and so on. However, I can also keep it very simple and fun, not adding any of these things. It's really up to you and what you feel comfortable with!
For me, yoga is not a sport - it is not about higher, faster, further, but about knowledge, getting to know your own body and feeling it: feeling with curiosity, with mindfulness.
In my lessons I like to focus on the mental benefits of yoga: letting go, courage, new strength, calming the mind.
Per your request, I can also focus more on physical aspects.
