About Ashton
Hi, I’m Ashton, a dedicated high school student, athlete, and math tutor who takes both academics and personal growth seriously. As a student-athlete, I’ve learned discipline, time management, leadership, and perseverance — qualities that directly shape the way I tutor.
Balancing sports and academics has taught me how to stay organized, focused, and goal-oriented. I bring that same mindset to every tutoring session. I understand the pressure students feel before tests, the frustration of not understanding a concept, and the importance of building real confidence — not just memorizing steps.
Math has always been one of my strongest subjects, and I take pride in explaining concepts clearly and patiently. I prepare for sessions in advance, communicate professionally, and make sure each lesson is structured and productive. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them develop stronger study habits and independent problem-solving skills.
As both a student and an athlete, I hold myself to high standards. You can expect reliability, respect, preparation, and a positive attitude every time we work together.

Hi, I’m Ashton, a high school student who understands what it’s like to sit in math class and feel confused. Because I’m still in school myself, I know exactly how teachers explain concepts, how tests are structured, and what students struggle with most. My goal is to make math feel simple, manageable, and even enjoyable.
My Teaching Method
I break down problems into small, clear steps and explain the “why” behind each step — not just the answer. I focus on:
Building strong fundamentals
Practicing similar problems until they feel natural
Teaching patterns and shortcuts that actually help on quizzes and tests
Encouraging questions without judgment
I make sure students truly understand the concept before moving on.
