About Fiona
My love for letterforms began as early as primary school and has remained steady through the many creative lives I've lived: visual communications student, graphic designer, photographer, cinematography student, camera technician…all leading to the lettering-focused multidisciplinary artist I am now.
For over a decade I freelanced and hustled before I learned the hard way that I wasn't a commercial graphic designer like my peers — fulfilling briefs and pumping out flyer after logo after branding package — but an artist with graphic design skills. That pivot taught me something crucial: creativity isn't a ladder to climb; it's a path you carve as you walk it.
My lettering practice was forged during lockdown when I finally had the stillness to explore without pressure. No formal calligraphy training, just happy accidents, experimentation, and a very neurodivergent obsession with how letters look and mean. When people started asking me to share what I'd figured out on my own, something clicked. Growing up, I wasn't shown many alternative ways of what an artist could look like — and I wanted to offer what no one offered me: permission to start where you are, mistake-forward, without gatekeeping.

What I care about most is helping you find your creative voice and path, and guiding you towards your own creative potential. My role is to open doors; yours is to walk through them and discover what's on the other side.
This could look like a workshop or brainstorm on something you're working on, me sharing tips and assigning exercises for practice or meditation — through video calls or in-person sessions.
