About Orlando

10 year member of the US Army band, Broadway accompanist, graduate of the Eastman School of Music, performs across the USA, has performed with and conducted 3 orchestras in NY, has composed several songs and one 3 hour English opera

About the lesson

My students will develop their own "stream of consciousness" playing, acquire a critical ear for their own playing (stylistically, rhythmically, and texturally). We do this through a unique "play-record-analyse-recreate" technique designed to instill originality and confidence in spur-of-the-moment musical decision-making

Orlando is one of the most unique and captivating performers and musicians I have ever had the pleasure of collaborating with. He is able to shine in a wide range of repertoire and make any piece of music sound exciting and new. He is fun and knowledgable, and has contagious vivacious energy. Any artist would be lucky to be mentored by him.

Orlando played with me for a year during my masters degree, and he is one of the most passionate performers you will find. Not many people can match his joy for creating a meaningful musical experience--for his collaborators, for the audience, and for himself. If you are looking for someone to foster that passion within you and help it grow into something beautiful, you could not do better.

Orlando is an amazing pianist! I've worked with Orlando as a music director and have witnessed firsthand what an amazing mentor/teacher he is! He's fun, charismatic, and wants what's best for everyone he works with. He not only knows how to motivate students to technical excellence but knows how to motivate students to artistic excellence. I would highly recommend Orlando as a piano teacher.
