It started with a promise too good to be true an online crypto investment platform that claimed guaranteed returns of 10% a week. The website was sleek, the representatives sounded convincing, and everything looked legitimate. I invested cautiously at first, but as small returns rolled in, I got comfortable. Too comfortable. Over the span of three weeks, I transferred $126,000. Then, just like that, the website disappeared. No more contact. My stomach dropped. I had fallen for a scam.
