About Mallika
Learning a new language can feel intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. I want every student to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and practicing without fear of being judged.
I am an experienced English speaker with lifelong fluency and an IELTS Band 8, and I understand the experience of learning English as a second language firsthand. This allows me to approach lessons with patience, empathy, and an understanding of the challenges students may face.
I take the time to understand each student’s goals and adapt my lessons to their individual level and needs. Whether you are starting from the basics, preparing for IELTS, improving your academic English, or simply looking to become more confident in conversation, I will work with you at a pace that feels manageable while helping you make meaningful progress.
Most importantly, I want my students to leave each lesson feeling more confident than when they arrived. Mistakes are a natural part of learning, and my goal is to create a supportive environment where you can practice, improve, and enjoy the process of learning English.

My approach to teaching English is personalized, practical, and encouraging. As someone who learned English as a second language myself, I understand the challenges that can come with learning, practicing, and gaining confidence in another language. I have spoken English since nursery and have achieved an IELTS Band 8, so I can help students develop both their everyday English skills and their academic or test-related abilities.
What sets me apart is that I can genuinely understand English from the perspective of a second-language learner. I know what it feels like to learn English while also navigating the differences between languages, and I can explain concepts in a way that is approachable rather than intimidating. I am also a young tutor, which allows me to create a relaxed and relatable learning environment, particularly for students who may feel nervous about speaking English.
My lessons are suitable for beginners through advanced learners, including school students, university students, adults, students preparing for IELTS, and anyone who wants to improve their conversational, academic, or professional English. Whether your goal is to pass an exam, improve your grades, communicate more confidently, or simply become more comfortable speaking English, I will tailor our lessons to you.
