About the lesson

Sometimes it is difficult to admit that English is a complex and often contradictory language to navigate as an adult. My 13 years of experience have taught me that every student possesses a unique set of obstacles and strengths. I have successfully guided 84 students, including business travellers, immigrants, absolute beginners, and IELTS candidates, toward greater linguistic independence. My background includes a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa, which informs my methodical approach to teaching.

I focus on breaking down the barriers that prevent clear communication in professional and social settings. My classroom environment is designed to be supportive yet rigorous enough to ensure steady progress. Many of my students are working hard to balance their careers while developing new language skills. I understand the specific pressures placed on newcomer families and those preparing for high stakes federal exams.
