About María José

I’m María José, an IELTS and PTE trainer based in Australia, working closely with international students who need specific scores for visa purposes such as PR, student visas, or skill assessments.

My background is not just in teaching, but also in working directly with students going through real visa processes, so I understand the pressure, the deadlines, and how important it is to get the score as efficiently as possible. I’ve supported students from many different nationalities, helping them move from feeling stuck or unsure to having a clear strategy and real progress.

What makes my classes different is that I combine exam strategy with practical guidance. I don’t just teach “English” — I teach you how to perform in the exam. I focus on structure, templates, and techniques that are aligned with how IELTS and PTE are actually scored, so you’re not wasting time on things that won’t move your score.

I’m very organized in the way I work: I track student progress, identify patterns in mistakes, and adjust the preparation based on what each student needs. About the lesson

I focus on helping students understand exactly how the IELTS and PTE exams work, not just improving their general English. My approach is very strategic and exam-oriented: I teach students the structure behind each question type, provide clear templates, and show them how to maximize their score using proven techniques. Every class includes guided practice, real-time feedback, and correction of common mistakes so students know exactly what to fix and how to improve.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and can be taken as personalized (1:1) or group classes, depending on the student’s preference. In group classes, I keep the sessions interactive so students can learn from each other’s questions and mistakes, while still receiving direct feedback.

I have experience working with international students from different backgrounds who need specific scores for visas such as student visas, PR, or skill assessments. I have supported students preparing for both IELTS and PTE, helping them improve their performance through structured practice, mock tests, and continuous progress tracking.

My lessons are suitable for adults of all levels, especially those who have already taken the exam and need to increase their score, as well as students preparing for their first attempt who want a clear and effective strategy from the beginning.

I offer both group and personalized classes, depending on the level of support and flexibility you’re looking for:

Group classes (PTE Online Program)
This is a structured program with live classes Monday to Friday (morning and evening options). You can join as many classes as you like during your access period, repeat lessons, and attend Q&A sessions.

4 weeks access: $990 AUD
12 weeks access: $1990 AUD

This option includes unlimited live classes, expert teachers, a student success coordinator, a spelling app, access to a practice platform with unlimited mock tests, and full schedule flexibility.

Personalized classes (1:1)
These are fully tailored sessions focused on your specific needs, level, and target score. Ideal if you want faster progress or need to improve specific skills.

Single lesson: $150 AUD
Package of 10 lessons: $1300 AUD

These sessions include detailed feedback, correction, exam strategies adapted to you, and a free month of access to the practice platform with mock tests.
