About Utpak
Learn STEM with Confidence
I am an IIT and IIM graduate with international university teaching experience in Japan, as well as a strategy consultant with experience solving complex business and analytical problems. I bring the same structured, problem-solving mindset to teaching: making difficult concepts simple, practical, and enjoyable to learn.
My goal is not simply to help students find the right answer, but to help them understand why the answer is right and how to approach new problems independently. I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence step by step.
Whether you are looking to strengthen your fundamentals, prepare for exams, or challenge yourself beyond the classroom, I tailor each lesson to your individual goals and learning pace.

My Teaching Approach
My approach is to make STEM subjects simple, intuitive, and relevant rather than relying on memorization. As an IIT and IIM graduate with international university teaching experience in Japan, I combine strong academic foundations with practical, real-world examples and structured problem-solving techniques.
Teaching Method & Techniques
I first focus on understanding the student’s current level, learning style, and goals. I then build concepts step-by-step using:
Simple explanations and visual examples
Real-world applications to make concepts relatable
Guided problem-solving rather than simply providing answers
Targeted exercises to identify and address knowledge gaps
Regular recap and feedback to build confidence and retention
Typical Lesson
A typical session starts with a quick review of previous concepts, followed by an introduction to the new topic. We then work through examples together, gradually moving from guided practice to independent problem-solving. The lesson ends with a short recap, questions, and targeted practice for the next session.
What Sets Me Apart
I bring a combination of IIT-level STEM training, IIM-level analytical thinking, consulting experience, and international university teaching experience in Japan. I focus not just on helping students get the right answer, but on teaching them how to think, reason, and solve unfamiliar problems independently.

I can support students across different levels, from middle/high school students preparing for exams and strengthening STEM fundamentals to university students looking to improve their quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
