About China
I'm a Printmaker and Illustrator with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art and Illustration. I have over 6 years experience making linocut prints and over 10 years of illustration and drawing experience.
My favorite art subjects to draw are botanicals, animals and landscapes. I love to use color but also think that creating effective black and white imagery using a single linoleum block helps build the foundation for multiple color prints.

I'm a very patient and encouraging teacher! I will start by walking you through all the steps to create an image.
We will first begin by choosing a subject and drawing an image that can be transferred to a linoleum block before carving.
We will start with the most simple form of linocut printmaking with a single color and then advance into adding color by creating multiple block linocut prints. We can also explore alternative printing techniques, such as using pasted papers and mono printing.
I can cater to your skill level whether you are a beginner looking for an introductory course or you are intermediate and want to learn more advanced techniques with creating multiple color prints.
