About Jeslyn

I am a science student who has given private tutoring as well as personal statement help and reviewing. I am well-versed with the CIE A-levels and IGCSE syllabi’s and believe in practising not until you get it right, but till you don’t get it wrong !

About the lesson

I base my lessons on techniques which are based on SCIENTIFICALLY-PROVEN, EFFECTIVE methods. My lesson will be broken down into the following: Part 1: SCOPING THE SUBJECT Highlighting the syllabus first, creating a clear objective on the topics and concepts you will need to know and breaking it down into digestible parts. Part 2: LEARNING THE CONTENT I will explain each concept and will teach in a classroom 1 to 1 style. Notes can be made upon request however I believe in being a proactive student and that creating your own notes breeds higher understanding. Part 3: APPLYING THE INFORMATION YOU LEARNT We will go through any tough concepts or parts you felt were unclear and go through some questions to test your understanding. Part 4: PAST YEAR QUESTIONS We can go through any past-year questions you have problems with and I will also assign questions. I will provide my students with resources and notes tailored specifically for them after the lesson and also provide free support on any questions they may have from past year papers to clarification so they get the grades they deserve and want.

More preparation in terms of looking at different resources. It was just the trial lesson and very early on in the syllabus so it's still understandable. I look forward to tutoring her and building up her confidence in sciences.
