About Alexander
I am a first-year student with a passion for maths and physics currently studying Electrical Engineering and electronics at the highly selective (1 in 10 offer rate) Imperial College London. My hobbies include mountain biking and music. I have achieved top GCSE grades achieving six nines including in maths, all 3 sciences, computer science and German and more recently have achieved A* A* A A at A level. I taught myself to code back in year 9 and have since used the skill for applications ranging from games to microcontrollers and net code. Working on projects is almost essential for attaining a place at a top university, so I do support my more able students to get stuck in with their academic interests. I have a fair amount of experience teaching and working with children from working at a local Saturday school. I have since taken up tutoring as I enjoy helping children achieve their aspirations.

Studying smarter helped me attain ten grade 8s and 9s in my GCSEs, as well as similarly good results at A level. I will share study methods and exam techniques I have picked up that will allow you to showcase your academic potential. I am currently studying Electrical engineering at the highly prestigious Imperial College London and am able to provide support for students looking to gain the best place at uni that they can. As well as a curriculum-focused approach aimed to maximise exam performance, I also like to develop thought processes for developing an in-depth understanding of key concepts if time allows. By exploring new problems, my aim is to cultivate critical thinking skills to break down and tackle complex problems. I offer tuition for: Maths, Chemistry and Physics - up to GCSE level (inclusive) German - up to KS3 11+ Coding - up to competency feel free to enquire about other subjects - through me you have access to networks of some of the brightest students in the country who I can gladly pass you on to. (I don't take commission) I am also an avid musician, at one point playing in 8 different bands concurrently. I would love to teach beginner clarinet or saxophone lessons to any keen student.

I offer a free 30 min taster. Travel costs will vary based on how far I have to travel, and time constraints. Lesson rates are negotiable based on the subject and level at which you want tuition as well as my availability. If I refer you to a fellow IC student, you will have to discuss their rates with them.
