About Nicholas

Hi there, I recently graduated with a high First Class Degree in my Master's in Bioengineering at the world's leading university in this field of study, Imperial College London. Upon graduating, I received employment in the field of engineering where I am able to apply my knowledge and skill set daily; within a breadth of problems. My passions are in maths and physics and I love having the possibility to share my knowledge and assist in developing enthusiasm in students and tutees. Having been a tutor with my school and completing a UKCC squash coach certificate, I have developed an ability to create a calm and efficient learning environment to help my tutees achieve their desired goal and enjoying doing so. Originating from Edinburgh, Scotland I have English as my first language and family holidays have given me a proficiency in French as well. Hobbies of mine include baking, reading, triathlon and rock climbing.
In summary, I believe my knowledge and enthusiasm coupled with a friendly personality and empathy, allow me to clearly and concisely explain material to my tutee to successfully develop their abilities in that subject.

About the lesson

I always endeavour to produce a comfortable yet efficient teaching environment in which the student is motivated to learn and has access to the right tools and knowledge to do so. I am very aware and understanding of the fact that every student learns differently and at different paces and so I make it a necessity to tailor each session to the individual to ensure maximum learning and happiness.

I like to instil a relaxed yet efficient learning environment that is driven by the pupil's enthusiasm to learn and expand their knowledge. From experience I have worked with a range of character types and pupil abilities and have shown an astute ability to adapt and evolve to best suit the pupil's needs to ensure effective learning throughout. My lessons set out a fundamental learning basis from which to develop in future lessons; this allows for material to be understood in depth, delivering a more than competent individual.
