About Christie

Hello! I am Christie and I am a medical student at Imperial College. I achieved 10 A*s at GCSE and 3 A*s at A Level and want to use my experience to help students achieve their full potential in exams too.

As part of the most recent set of students to sit the new A Level Chemistry exam, I have fresh experience of what it was like studying the same Chemistry syllabus and have plenty of advice to share on how to revise effectively. Exam preparation can be a stressful experience however my goal is to instil confidence in my students so that they can go into the exam knowing that all their hard work will pay off.

In addition to A Level Chemistry tutoring, I am also happy to help with Medical School applications (e.g. personal statements, admissions tests and interview preparation). Navigating the pathway into medicine may feel complex but having achieved a scholarship from Imperial College for my performance in the Medical Admissions process, I would love to help others begin their journey on becoming a doctor.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology centres on providing interactive and enjoyable lessons tailored towards individual strengths and weaknesses. Often students may struggle with a topic simply because it was taught in a way that does not align with their own learning style. Helping students understand these complex topics is a reason I started tutoring and I am happy to adjust my teaching approach to what suits them best and helps them learn most effectively. Once a solid understanding of the material has been gained, I will refine exam technique through targeted past paper practice and sharing my own tips that helped me achieve an A* in the exam.
