About Juan
Hi, my name is Juan and I am a final year Mechanical Engineering student at Imperial College London, expected to graduate with a First Class Honours degree. I am fully Spanish but grew up in Brussels (Belgium) and hence I am fully fluent in both languages. Throughout my time at school and university I have had experience tutoring my classmates and I have hence learnt how to explain concepts in a simply and understandable manner.

I am a very flexible and results-oriented teacher. I will always begin by asking the student what their objectives are and what they want to get out of the class. I will also adapt to the students’ preferred teaching methods if they have any. If they don’t, I will follow the subsequent structure: theory, apply, summarise. I will start with the theory of the subject at hand before tackling problems such that the student can apply the theory covered. Finally, we will spend a few minutes summarising the class. This will help the student have a clear picture of the topics covered, but will also ensure that the objectives set have been met.
