About Olivia

I’m a passionate and versatile voice teacher with 8 years of experience helping singers develop their voices in healthy, expressive, and stylistically authentic ways. My teaching draws from a blend of classical technique and contemporary vocal methods, giving students a well-rounded foundation they can apply across genres—from pop and R&B to musical theater and indie folk. I believe that singing is not just a physical craft, but also an emotional and artistic one. In my sessions, we focus on core skills such as breath management, vocal placement, resonance, diction, and expanding vocal range—all while working on real songs that the student connects with. My lessons are highly personalized, adjusting to each student’s learning pace, goals, and interests. We often use studio recordings and playback as part of our practice, which helps students track growth and build critical listening skills. I also introduce vocal anatomy in easy-to-understand language, helping students understand what’s happening physically as they sing. For those interested in performing, I offer guidance in stage presence, acting through song, and microphone technique. Whether you’re preparing for an audition, building a YouTube channel, or just singing for joy, I’ll help you bring your voice forward with confidence and clarity. Many of my students have earned lead roles, joined competitive choirs, or written and recorded their own music. What unites them is a growing belief in their ability and a deeper connection to their voice—and that’s what I aim to cultivate in every lesson.

About the lesson

Singing is a transformative art form that integrates technical mastery, emotional storytelling, and cultural richness to produce impactful and authentic musical performances.

My teaching philosophy emphasizes Alignment, Creativity, Diversity, and Progression. Alignment involves the coordinated use of breath support, vocal placement, and body awareness to ensure healthy, efficient, and resonant singing. I guide students in developing these foundational skills to establish a solid technical base that allows for expressive freedom.

Creativity is central to my lessons—I encourage students to explore phrasing, dynamics, and emotional interpretation through improvisation, storytelling, and character exploration. This fosters artistic growth and helps students connect deeply with their music. Diversity informs my repertoire choices, incorporating a wide range of musical styles and cultural backgrounds to broaden students’ musical understanding and foster respect for different traditions.

Progression is achieved through individualized goal setting, tailored practice strategies, and constructive feedback, motivating continuous development. I strive to cultivate an inspiring and supportive learning environment where technical skill, artistic expression, and cultural appreciation unite, empowering singers to grow into confident, versatile, and passionate performers.
