About Laure

I’m Laure, a passionate and dedicated French tutor with several years of experience teaching students of all ages. I love sharing my language and culture because I believe that learning French opens doors to new perspectives, meaningful connections, and personal growth. Teaching allows me to combine my love for the language with my desire to help others gain confidence, speak freely, and discover the richness of French culture in a fun, supportive, and inspiring way.

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Laure, and I am a passionate and caring French tutor with several years of experience teaching students of all ages. I love helping my students gain confidence, enjoy speaking French, and discover the full richness of French culture through dynamic and personalised lessons. I started as a volunteer French language assistant at Fettes College in Edinburgh. There, I supported classes, led small conversation groups, and designed engaging lessons to help students feel comfortable speaking. I also gave private lessons, tailored to each learner’s goals, interests, and pace. Later, I joined the Yakety Yak Language Café, where I ran weekly conversation sessions for adults. These classes focused on real communication and cultural exchange, allowing learners to express themselves naturally and confidently in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. These experiences helped me develop a warm, flexible, and encouraging teaching approach. My lessons are interactive and adapted to each student—whether you’re learning French to travel, work, prepare for an exam, or simply for pleasure. I will help you strengthen your grammar, improve your pronunciation, and speak fluently, while exploring French culture, expressions, and everyday life. I now offer online lessons, combining flexibility with high-quality teaching, customised to your schedule and learning pace. My goal is to make every session enjoyable and enriching, so that you progress effectively while having fun learning. Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner aiming to perfect your fluency, I will guide you step by step—with patience, humour, and motivation.
