About Amy

Hi there! I’m an incoming dental student at NYU dentistry and have recently graduated from the University of Texas, and I’m genuinely excited to help you tackle the challenges of the DAT. I know firsthand how overwhelming this process can be, but I’m here to make it easier for you.

With a great DAT score, I’ve learned effective strategies that I want to share with you. I understand the ins and outs of the exam, and I’m committed to creating a supportive and engaging environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and exploring the material.

My approach is all about making sure you not only grasp the concepts but also build the confidence you need to succeed on test day. I believe that every student has the potential to excel, and I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

About the lesson

I believe that studying for the DAT doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or like you’re just memorizing random facts. I focus on making each session as practical and interactive as possible, walking you through strategies and breaking down tough concepts into clear, manageable steps. I emphasize active problem-solving and real DAT question practice, especially for challenging sections like PAT, where specific tips can make a big difference. My approach is flexible too—if a particular concept needs more attention, we’ll slow down and dive deeper to make sure you’re confident in it.

With a 23 in PAT, 23 in TS, 25 in Organic Chemistry, and 24 in Biology, I know what it takes to succeed on the DAT, and I’m here to help you get there too. Having been through it myself, I understand where the most challenging parts are, and I’m all about making it feel less intimidating. I’m committed to helping you feel confident, prepared, and ready to tackle this exam with a solid plan.

Perfect! Amy was awesome! As someone who could not understand TFE and PF for the life of them, Amy came in so clutch. I was scoring about 3/15 in each on both sections and was averaging about a 15-16 on the PAT. After my tutoring sessions with Amy, I became so much more confident and score a 19 on the PAT, something I did not think was possible. I highly recommend Amy as a tutor!

I’m so glad I found Amy and picked her as my tutor! I have been studying for my DAT for a while and felt like I wasn’t making progress on retaining information and truly understanding the concepts/formulas needed for problems in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Quantitative reasoning, and Perceptual ability. i kept getting practice problems wrong and didn’t know why. Now that I found Amy, I have that extra accountability to push myself and she has helped me by working through problems step by step. She’s really flexible on sessions and is super responsive. She provides many resources for different strategies. Because of her, I feel more confident as my test date approaches.
