About Parvathy
I began learning Carnatic music at the age of five, and music has remained an integral part of my life ever since. With over two decades of training and several years of teaching experience, I bring both depth of knowledge and a genuine passion for sharing music with others. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to the unique goals of each learner. Fluent in English and skilled in musical communication, I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students can grow in confidence, creativity, and musical understanding. Alongside teaching, I enjoy composing melodies and exploring the expressive possibilities of music, helping learners build not only technical skills but also a meaningful connection with the art form.

Carnatic music is more than an art form—it is a journey of creativity, discipline, and joy. This beginner-friendly course introduces learners of all ages to the rich world of melody and rhythm, helping them develop musical skills, confidence, concentration, and self-expression. No prior experience is needed; only curiosity and a love for learning.
Classes are conducted primarily online in a warm, interactive, and learner-centered environment. Each one-hour session is thoughtfully structured to include vocal practice, theory, listening exercises, and guided learning based on the student's pace and interests. Rather than following a rigid teacher-student hierarchy, the learning process is approached as a shared musical journey where curiosity, discussion, and exploration are encouraged.
A unique feature of these classes is their flexibility and personalization. While students receive a strong foundation in Carnatic music, lessons can also be adapted to individual goals. Whether a learner seeks music as a means of self-expression, emotional well-being, creative exploration, or a deeper understanding of classical traditions, the learning experience is tailored accordingly.
