About Sam
I am a software engineer holding a qualification in Information Technology. Because of my love for tech, I am currently at a university taking my studies even further. I have mentored a number of former students that have grown a passion for tech. Because I believe in tech, it has been a personal mission to get more people into tech. I believe that as people, we must create solutions through tech for the close environment that you live in and that all starts with just one line of code.

With 5 years of experience under my belt, I have gained a relatively vast amount of knowledge when it comes to programming. I make use of the inquiry-based learning teaching method that casts me, as the instructor, as a supportive figure who provides guidance and support for students throughout their learning process, rather than a sole authority figure.
When it comes to spoken languages, I am proficient in English, Tswana, and Tsonga. Programming languages that I have a good understanding of are Python, Java, C#, React, Angular, MySQL, and Dart.
A typical lesson with me is I have students follow personalized learning plans that are specific to their interests and skills. I understand not everyone learns at the same pace so I try to work on what a student can grasp in a certain short period of time.
My lessons are aimed at high school students, university students that want to improve their technical skills, prospective students that want to change industries, and people that want to treat programming as a creative hobby.

Sam is exceptionally good at explaining complex concepts in a way that makes them easier to understand. He is very friendly and easy to communicate with which makes the process of being taught by him enjoyable. I've known him for years and up to date, he has never disappointed. He is definitely one person that deliveries on his word.
I know Sam from a programming learnership we were both enrolled in. As a part of the learnership, we also had to complete an internship and Sam and I were placed at the same software firm.
Prior to the internship, I knew Sam to be a diligent worker. He was in a group of people who were ahead with their work. So if I was stuck he'd be a good person to consult because he'd likely have thought of solutions.
During the internship, Sam was nothing but encouraging. Always willing to help. He has a curiosity and work ethic that is very impressive and I have no doubt that he'd go beyond the call of duty for his students. He is very interested in ensuring that you understand the concept he's trying to explain so many of the students he tutors will be in great hands
Sam is a very talented programmer. In a cohort of 300+ talented software engineering students, he's managed to stand out, I think that speaks volumes. He's an excellent student, he always has a way of making others understand the work if they need help. I believe he would be a trustworthy tutor because he's a dedicated and professional person and he enjoys helping the people around him.
Sam is extremely patient when it comes to teaching and is an excellent software developer. If you are in need of someone who will go above expectations to give you a headstart on your journey as a software dev, you have found the right person.
Sam is not just a trustworthy tutor but he knows and loves what he is doing. He helped me with my course work when I was doing my first year in Software Development Studies at WETHINKCODE_ and he's always willing to help when I need help.
