About Faye
Confidence is key to becoming a skilled and expressive guitarist, and my goal is to help students achieve it. With Master’s degrees in Music, I bring technical expertise, performance experience, and teaching knowledge to every lesson. Lessons begin with foundational skills such as posture, finger placement, chord transitions, strumming, rhythm, and tone, progressing to improvisation, phrasing, and composition. Music theory is incorporated practically to help students understand and apply concepts effectively. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace, goals, and interests, fostering motivation and creativity. I emphasize technical proficiency alongside expressive playing, helping students communicate emotion through music. Ear training, sight-reading, and performance exercises build well-rounded musicianship. Students explore genres like classical, jazz, rock, blues, and pop to broaden their musical understanding. Structured practice routines, feedback, and guidance help students overcome challenges efficiently. Milestones are celebrated to reinforce achievement and motivation. Creativity, improvisation, and composition are encouraged to help students develop their unique musical voice. Lessons balance structure, discipline, and artistic freedom for engaging learning experiences. Over time, students gain technical mastery, performance confidence, and artistic expression. Teaching guitar is more than instruction—it is mentorship, inspiration, and growth. My ultimate goal is to empower students to play authentically, creatively, and with confidence. Each lesson is an opportunity to cultivate skill, passion, and lifelong musicianship.

Every student deserves a teacher who listens, understands, and adapts. With both Master’s degrees in Music, I bring 12 years of experience helping students grow with confidence. I believe that guitar lessons should be as much about discovery as they are about discipline. My sessions focus on clear communication, structured progression, and creative expression.
I begin with strong fundamentals—rhythm, posture, chord work—and expand into improvisation and style exploration. My goal is to make learning practical, relatable, and rewarding. I design personalized practice routines to match each student’s learning pace. Music theory is introduced naturally through songs and exercises, ensuring it feels intuitive.
I also emphasize performance techniques and ear development for expressive playing. My approach blends patience with passion—I guide, but I also listen. I celebrate every milestone, big or small, because progress deserves recognition. Watching my students gain confidence and joy in their music is the highlight of my work.
