About Idy
I am a professional piano tutor with 20 years of experience and a proven record of successfully teaching around 300 students. My students include high school learners, college students, and adults who seek structured and inspiring piano lessons.
My teaching philosophy balances technical excellence with creativity. I focus on building strong fundamentals through scales, chord exercises, rhythm drills, and sight-reading practice. I also encourage students to develop their own musical expression and performance style.
Each lesson is carefully planned with clear objectives and measurable outcomes. I adapt my teaching style based on individual goals, whether students aim for exams, competitions, or personal enjoyment. Many of my students have achieved high distinctions in examinations and demonstrated impressive performance confidence.
I am dedicated to guiding every student with patience and professionalism. My ultimate aim is to help students unlock their full musical potential and develop a lifelong passion for playing the piano.

My methodology for teaching piano emphasises communication, creativity, flexibility, and continuous improvement. I focus on building technical strength while encouraging artistic expression. I clearly demonstrate hand movement, articulation, rhythm patterns, and dynamics.
Communication allows students to feel confident and motivated. Creativity helps them develop their personal musical voice through expressive playing and simple composition activities. Flexibility allows me to tailor lessons for beginners, intermediate, or advanced learners.
I also integrate music theory, chord studies, and performance preparation into lessons to create complete musicianship. My goal is to nurture skilled pianists who play with confidence and emotion.
