About Lou

I am an experienced Singing tutor with more than 12 years of teaching expertise. I teach Singing to School students, College students, and Working Professionals who wish to improve their vocal abilities and gain confidence in music. My teaching philosophy is based on patience, encouragement, and continuous improvement.

Every student learns differently, so I customise my lessons to suit individual learning styles and goals. Whether a student is a beginner learning the basics or an advanced singer looking to refine their technique, I provide structured guidance and personalised support throughout the learning process.

My lessons focus on developing strong vocal foundations through breathing exercises, pitch correction, vocal control, tone quality, rhythm training, and performance preparation. I use engaging teaching methods that include practical demonstrations, guided practice, and constructive feedback. Students are encouraged to participate actively and take ownership of their progress.

Along with Singing, I teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Song Interpretation, and Vocal Coaching. These related subjects help students develop a complete understanding of music and enhance their performance skills. I also provide guidance on vocal health and effective practice techniques.

I strive to make every lesson enjoyable, productive, and inspiring. My unique ability to simplify difficult concepts helps students learn with confidence and ease. I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals while fostering a lifelong appreciation for music and artistic expression.

About the lesson

My Singing methodology combines technical training, creative learning, and personal development. Using flexibility, creativity, understanding, and strong time management, I help students achieve their musical goals in a supportive environment.

I believe that successful singing instruction begins with understanding the student. I take time to learn about their interests, strengths, challenges, and goals. This allows me to create lessons that are personalised and effective.

Flexibility is a key part of my teaching. Lessons can be adjusted based on student progress, learning speed, and performance objectives. Whether students want to sing professionally, participate in competitions, or improve as a hobby, I tailor my instruction to their needs.

Creativity keeps learning exciting. I use song analysis, vocal exercises, listening practice, musical storytelling, and performance activities to develop both technical and artistic skills. Students are encouraged to explore different musical styles and discover their own vocal identity.

My teaching emphasises breathing techniques, pitch correction, vocal projection, tone quality, rhythm, expression, and stage confidence. Students learn practical skills that can be applied immediately in performances and everyday singing.

Understanding and patience help create a positive learning experience. I encourage students to learn from mistakes and celebrate progress at every stage.

Time management ensures that lessons remain focused and productive. Each class includes clear objectives, structured activities, and progress tracking to help students stay motivated.

I can also teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Vocal Health, Performance Skills, and Sight Reading. My goal is to help students become versatile, confident, and expressive musicians.
