About Arjun

Hello there!
I am an integrated M.Sc. Physics graduate from Central University of Tamil Nadu. I graduated in the year 2019 and was a DST-INSPIRE scholarship holder for 5 years (2014-19), which means I belonged to the top 1% of the country's students pursuing research in basic sciences. Astrophysics is my favorite subject and if you are an amateur astronomer yourself, let's have some serious discussions. I also have expertise in the fields of Accelerator physics (the science behind particle accelerators such as CERN's LHC) and condensed matter physics.

By the way, I am from Kerala and would be able to explain things in Malayalam also. So if you are a physics enthusiast like me, let's have a discussion. And if you are a student who is fed up of Physics, I would try to make you love Physics.

About the lesson

When you ask a student which is his least favorite subject, the answer will- most of the time -be Physics or Maths. But on the contrary, these two are probably the most magnificent of natural sciences. The reason why students hate or fear Physics has to do with the teaching methods the teachers use. Physics is not memorizing theorems and formulas and substituting with the given values. But in most of the classes, physics is being taught this way. No wonder why students hate the subject.

My style will be different. Learning physics is not rocket science. And if you study rocket science in the way it is meant to be studied, it's no big deal either. I hope to give the students an intuitive approach towards learning physics. Not just text book learning, but there's a lot to learn from our daily life too. Relating the physics concepts with our daily experiences will make the students understand the concepts in a better and long lasting way. I want to make learning a fun process, so that your mind can work on better ideas for the future than memorizing a page full of formulae.
