About Raquel
Due to my passion for travel, I try and learn about the local language wherever I go. As a student I also get nervous!
I am a certified languages teacher with more than 5 years experience helping students from all over the world learn a second language.
As you will see, my teaching style is a very communicative one, I use body language, many visual aids, activities and varied explanations that will help you deduce the meanings and structures of the language by yourself.
You will see that:

- I adapt my vocabulary and speaking speed to your level.
- I am thorough, I take notice of your weaker areas and find ways to tackle them.

When teaching I work on a base of core vocabulary and grammar concepts that are delivered in a practical way, I give you the tools to create communication and a safe and controlled space to put in practice. With your objectives in mind, we work specifically on the skills you need.
My knowledge of various languages is an advantage for you because:
- For me it's easier to understand what you mean even when you make mistakes, I know why you do them.
- I can explain cultural aspects to avoid misinterpretations (Funny and rude elements may be included).
- I can give thorough explanations in English, Spanish, Catalan or French to help beginners understand how the language works.
