About Shoni
I am Shoni Machete. I have been teaching Afrikaans in the intermediate phase for 11 years. I taught at different schools and in different provinces therefore I am so much clued up with cultural diversity and I totally respect that I have a Secondary Teachers Diploma from Thabamoopo College of Education, where I majored in Afrikaans Tweede Taal. I have obtained ACE in Life Orientation from Unisa and a BedHons in Education Law, Systems and Management from NWU. I am very calm, warm hearted, friendly and l love teaching.

I mostly apply learner centred method of teaching. My lesson plans are planned to cater for learner diversity according to the learners capabilities and learner differentiation. I offer lessons whereby each learner is given individual attention. Sometimes I apply language switching to make learners understand better. I use flash cards, pictures and concrete objects (props) as teaching aids to facilitate my lesson. My lesson are are full of fun and playing since children learn better when they play.
