About Whitney
Simple arrangements make difficult songs accessible to everyone. We will turn your specific song requests into simplified arrangements that match your actual ability level. I rely on my self-taught foundation and 13 years of professional gigging to explain the fretboard without using boring jargon. You will find that reading sheet music or mastering acoustic technique becomes much less intimidating here.
I prefer to keep things casual while we address the technical demands of grade exams. You will leave with a clear plan for your next practice session.
My goal is to keep the energy high while we work through the details. Everything we do is rooted in the music I have played for years. You will nail that solo sooner than you think.

Music lives in the dirt under your fingernails. You likely feel frustrated by rigid methods that kill your creative drive.
I bring 7 years of teaching to the table after 13 years of playing the chanson circuit. My background covers everything from lead guitar and improvisation to the technical side of maintenance.
We focus on barre chords and ear training until they feel like second nature. It is fun to watch a student stop thinking about their fingers and start making sound. I enjoy the process of watching technical skill evolve into musical expression.
