About Philip
Originally from Canada / Korea, I have an MA from the University of Toronto (Canada) and a BA from Dartmouth College (USA). I worked for a year at the UN where I produced technical and advocacy writing. Having worked as a tutor and Teaching Assistant for ESL (English as a Second Language) students at all grade levels (i.e. elementary to university), I can help you improve your spoken and written English.

I have taught English as a tutor to elementary and secondary school students. During my Master's, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for university students, designing and teaching discussion-based classes on various topics in human geography (e.g. uneven development, feminist geographies). I also revised and gave feedback on written assignments and exams.
I have strong writing skills and a technical knowledge of English grammar developed from my professional life. I have worked at a UN organization where I produced stories, op-eds, and synthesis reports. I am currently work part-time at a human rights NGO where I write reports and project proposals, providing support to non-native speakers of English.
