About Désirée
Political Science undergraduate with 6+ years tutoring all age groups, abilities and learning challenges. My academic motivation has graced me with opportunities to study internationally, and I hope to transmit some of what I have learned with you!
You can expect a real, student-to-student approach, with solutions tailored to your specific needs. I hold an International Baccalaureate Bilingual Diploma with History and Geography HL, so I know firsthand what examiners expect.
Students who work with me gain a deeper understanding of content and ideas, and confidence in their abilities. You will gain a thorough understanding of academic writing conventions for History, Politics, and Geography exams, essays and research papers. Beyond theory, you will gain time management, organization, and academic advice to help you excel in your academic parcours.

Feeling down about your History, Politics, or Geography grades? As a student myself, I understand that frustration. As a tutor, I firmly believe that foundational concepts need to be mastered before adding on details too quickly. I adapt to your pace and have an individualized approach, with techniques and practices that you can apply immediately.
I am looking for students who LOVE to participate, as my style is interactive and engaging. Be prepared for me to ask questions! I begin every lesson with a quiz on our last session. My lessons include PowerPoints with visual aids, practice tests, essay prep and exam-style questions to find your problem areas and target revision. I consider your specific assessment style so that you already know all the answers before you even open that exam paper.
