About Anastasia

I’m an international student living in Canada, studying Marketing at the university while also working and staying actively involved in campus life. English is a big part of my daily routine — from academic work and group projects to real-life communication.

Over the past few years, I’ve developed a strong, natural level of English through constant interaction with native speakers. I also hold a C1 level (Duolingo English Test), which reflects my academic and practical language skills.

What students appreciate about me is my ability to explain things clearly and keep lessons supportive and comfortable. I understand the challenges of learning and using English in real life, and I always aim to create a space where you feel confident to practice and improve.

About the lesson

My approach is simple: I focus on helping you actually use English, not just understand it. Since I live and study in Canada, I work with real-life English every day, so I try to bring that same practical, natural language into my lessons.

I explain things in a clear and simple way, especially grammar. Instead of overcomplicating rules, I break them down into patterns and real examples, so you can actually apply them when you speak. I also pay attention to pronunciation — not to create a “perfect accent,” but to make sure you sound clear and easy to understand.

A typical lesson depends on your level and goals, but usually includes a mix of speaking practice, vocabulary, and a bit of structured explanation when needed. We might discuss real-life topics, practice situations like school or work conversations, or go over specific problem areas. I also like to include reading out loud to improve pronunciation and confidence.

What sets me apart is my experience as an international student. I’ve gone through the process of adapting to an English-speaking environment myself — from academic English to everyday communication. I understand what it feels like to hesitate, overthink, or feel unsure when speaking, and I help you move past that in a supportive and relaxed way.

My lessons are for a wide range of students — from beginners to intermediate learners, both kids and adults. I work especially well with students who want more speaking practice, are preparing to study abroad, or simply want to feel more confident using English in real life.
