About Vanessa
My name is Vanessa Deluca and I am an 18-year-old student currently pursuing a degree in International Studies in The Netherlands.
At the age of 15, I began to be a private tutor for my former high school and since then I have been carrying out tutoring classes both physically and online. Some subjects I have taught are; English, Spanish, Geography, History and Italian.
I highly enjoy teaching due to the fact that I love to be in contact with people, as well as sharing the knowledge and love that I have for the language!
In addition, I also speak English, Italian and Spanish at a fluent level therefore I can communicate in them without problem.

My approach as a tutor focuses on making you feel comfortable and welcomed in the class.
As my teaching techniques, I like to divide my classes into two halves;
During the first half, we will focus on learning the language through lecture-style teaching. This is composed of slides - e.g: google presentation - that will be prepared by me, that focus on the learning objective of the class/topic which you would like to learn.
On the other hand, during the second half, the teaching style is composed of practising what you have learned during the first half. This will be done by carrying out short online quizzes, testing your knowledge by explaining an image that is shown to you or by simply communicating.
These methods allow the class to be both instructive and interactive and as a whole, you'll be engaged and able to retain information.
