About Emily
I am an experienced hobby sewist, who has considerable knowledge in fabric types, as well as fashion and craft sewing techniques. I have multiple years of experience working with children of all ages. I have a diploma of Early Childhood Education (ECE), am registered with the College of Early Childhood Development, and I have a bachelors of Child Development.

Learning to sew is a gradual process starting at the basics and moving towards slightly more difficult projects and techniques step by step. Familiarising yourself with your machine and getting used to sewing basic lines is the first step, usually followed by simpler projects such as a basic pillowcase. Pajama pants are a great first clothing item to start, then you can move on to more challenging projects.

Perfect! Hi Francoise, I can come to your house if you need, but I will let you know I'm not an experienced quilter. I do know how to quilt, and I can absolutely teach you to use your machine but if you're looking to make complex quilts then I would recommend another teacher for that.
