About Raffaele
I graduated in Classics (Latin, Ancient Greek, Italian) from Siena and in Linguistics from Padua. I used to give tutoring classes in Italy (Italian as L2, Italian Literature, Latin, Greek and Philosophy). In Liverpool I’m Language Assistant at the University, where I am expected to assist language students from A1 to C1 levels in their independent learning, involve students in extracurricular activities and create teaching materials.

Ciao a tutti! My name is Raffaele. I am a native Italian speaker. I hold a Degree in Classics, Italian and Linguistics. I’m from Cagliari (Sardinia), but I also lived in Tuscany and Veneto.
I worked as an Italian language assistant at the University of Liverpool.
I really enjoy teaching and helping people to reach their goals. I always try to find the method that can suit my students, according to their interest, strengths and weaknesses.
Normally, I base my classes on grammar, vocabulary building, conversation and writing, but it also depends on your goals, interests and backgrounds.
For the grammar, I prefer to use an inductive method: I start from a text, a sentence etc. and I guide the student in finding a general rule. This can help to understand and memorize rules and to reflect on the language in an analytic way.
