About Laura

I started teaching Italian while I was studying in the US, and after that I've kept tutoring students of all levels. For the past two years I've also been teaching group courses for foreigners who just arrived in Italy.
In parallel, I have also worked for over 7 years in the corporate world as a Finance Specialist, and I would love to share with you my knowledge of Business Italian.

About the lesson

I've been a foreign language student myself (did you know I can speak English, French, and German?), so I know how to guide you through the challenges of learning a new language. We'll work together as a team with the goal of allowing you to express yourself in any context effectively and confidently!

Here are a few examples of my journey with students with different goals:
- J. started from an upper-intermediate level, but her job as an HR admin in Poland required her to level up quickly because soon she'd be in charge of the Italian office as well. We're working on the technical vocabulary required for her role, and thanks to my professional experience in corporate environments, I'm also helping her understand the context of the Italian labour market and regulations.
- K. is an absolute beginner from the US, looking to be able to understand and speak Italian on her next trip to Italy. We started from the basics, then moving on to simulating common scenarios for travelers in Italy.
- D. speaks excellent Italian, and wanted a chance to further level up her skills. We're using newspaper articles as conversation material, while finding a few new words along the way and correcting the occasional mistake.
- H. comes from Peru, has been living in Italy for some time now, but doesn't feel confident in his Italian yet. We worked on a few grammar topic that felt difficult for him, and practiced his pronounciation and fluency with reading activities and conversation.
