About Jorge H

Since I was little I was always excited to learn English (I remember writing "1" as "wan" back then) because I did it by listening to songs and watching movies. In high school I was surprised that they taught English, but unfortunately (even the teacher told me so) in public schools there is a very small program on learning the language. Therefore, I had to continue learning on my merits: songs, movies, series, but the most curious thing: TALKING ABOUT IT WITH FOREIGNERS.

I totally believe that learning a language is empirical, more than as a simple subject where you have to fill in a book and worry about passing an exam.

If you are reading my profile I congratulate you because it means that there is initiative in you which is the main thing required to learn ANYTHING.

About the lesson

Since I was little I was interested in learning English and there was never a barrier to do so despite the low economic resources of my family and the lack of public education program. That motivated me to want to transmit my knowledge and show that learning any language is not about answering a book and passing an exam, but about practicing it every day in your daily life. In my classes I will ask you:

* Commitment to the class but above all ... TO YOURSELF (A)

* THERE IS NO SPACE FOR INTROVERSION: Communication always requires feedback (feedback) between the sender and the receiver of the message.

* My methods can vary mainly between "flipped classroom" (practicing English in your daily life and sharing it in class) and "gamification" (dynamics that achieve a greater interaction in the topics)

* WRITE down everything that helps you to learn. A notebook, a notebook, a computer, on the cell phone, in short, a place where the topics seen are protected.

* A BABY IS NOT BORN WITH THE LANGUAGE ... he learns it through observation , interpretation and, of course, IMITATION: don't try to learn English wanting to translate everything.

* My subjects range from basic English to whatever level you want to take (you never end up learning the whole language, even if it's your mother tongue). I'm sure even I have learned something new.
