About Adam
Chess has been apart of me for as long as I can remember. I am honored to have the opportunity to teach chess to those of all ages and skill levels. Even as a coach, I enjoy improving my chess skills through playing, reading chess puzzle books, and studying theory. I am excited to bring my knowledge to you in a simple, cohesive, enjoyable manner.

Chess is fun. Having fun during the lesson is my number 1 goal. Here’s my general teaching philosophy: For novices of the game I introduce the rules and break up basic strategy of chess into simple memorable concepts/ideas. For intermediate players we work on having soundproof openings, and through my analysis of your games I will create a tailored plan for improvement.
For advanced players, a fair amount of time is spent refining the details of the game (what will take you from a good player to a great player). Within the lesson I love to do challenges throughout based on the material covered. Lessons are usually finished with playing the game, so we can see the new skills you learned in action and I can create a plan tailored personally for you, for the following lesson(s).
