About Ian
I take this work seriously. I take this work seriously because I want to help the next generation take control of their own destinies. Education can be the most powerful tool you will ever have, but you need to know how to harness it. Growing up, I was always the weird kid, which meant I had to work hard and learn new skills to be taken seriously. I was lucky enough to be academically gifted, but I still see the parallels between someone struggling socially and someone struggling academically: The pieces are all there, you just sometimes need help to put them together the right way. I want to help you not just be better, but to show the world how good you already are.

I’ve been told I’m Kingston’s most prolific non-professional writer. If you read a lot of essays, editorials, or social media posts on housing, homelessness, health care, or local government, there’s a good chance you’ve seen at least something I’ve done.
In school, I loved writing essays, because, with the right form, there’s power in your words. You can change the world with letters on a page, but it’s absolutely vital that you know how to use them. Whether that’s your ambition, or you just want to improve your grades, I can help you get there.
