I’ve taken Jack’s English classes and joined his philosophy courses and forums for years. I started learning English with Jack from the very beginning, and now, with his help, I have become an authentic, self-authority, and autonomous individual who is continually striving towards self-actualization.

What makes Jack special are his knowledges and how clearly he explains them. Even when teaching difficult words or ideas, he breaks them down in ways that are easy to understand and acceptable. As someone who speaks Chinese as my first language, I especially appreciate how patient and accepting he is.

Jack is now not only my best friend but also a life mentor. For me, he is a book of life that worth reading. I always enjoy reading his knowledge and life experiences, I have seen many different perspectives of life and become a better thinker with his help.

For several years now, I've attended (and thoroughly enjoyed) zoom classes on various philosophical subjects that are facilitated and hosted by Jack Carney. As a lifelong academic and learner, he is very knowledgeable on a wide range of subjects. His guiding volunteerist principles make him an engaging teacher who invites and validates participation. When he disagrees, he offers considered and articulate reasons why without suggesting an opposing view is wrong--rather he condenses decades of study for the student's consideration.

I would definitely recommend Jack Carney as a professor. He recognizes and nurtures individuals' strengths and proclivities. As a teacher and hosted, I've never seen him be condescending but always to be truly interested and invested in the interaction of information and ideas.
