About Wanja
Hi, my name is Wanja.
English and Swahili are my native languages, however, I have a passion in exploring the world and learning new languages and cultures. My current focus is in Japan - it's people, language, culture, and cuisine! Since my childhood, I have enjoyed visiting Japan and travel there every two or three years. It is such a wonderful experience being able to communicate with the locals in Japanese!
My caring and respectful approach towards my students is most important to me. I cater to my students needs and wants, and help them achieve their goals.
I understand the challenge of learning a new language since I’m a student as well, however, it can also be fun and exciting, opening a whole new world. Patience and determination is key in learning.
I’m here to support you every step of the way. Let’s learn and experience Japanese language together.

My lessons are great for beginners with no experience in the Japanese language, all the way to elementary Japanese. I share material used in the clsssroom to assist the student to review after class, if needed.
The lessons are fun and exciting helping my students gain confidence from day one.
