About Devi

My experience in tutoring languages began during my undergraduate studies in Japanese Literature. At that time, I taught Indonesian to Japanese expatriates in Jakarta. Later, I moved to Japan, where I worked as an Overseas Sales Administrator for a Japanese company and taught English to Japanese learners on weekends. When I moved to Australia, I decided to continue my passion for teaching. Since then, I have taught both Japanese and Indonesian to a diverse range of students, including high school and university students, as well as Australian Public Servants preparing for postings in Japan or Indonesia through a registered language school in Canberra.

About the lesson

As a language learner myself, I understand the difficulties of learning a language, and I am aware that each person has their own strengths and areas of weakness. I always inquire about their goals and purposes for learning, and then I customize my lessons accordingly. For long-term students, I create periodic evaluations and frequently develop tailored methods to assist with their individual areas of weakness.
