About Cora
My teaching methodology is built on the core principles of Creativity, Communication, Compassion, and Problem-solving, which guide every lesson I offer in guitar and related subjects. I encourage students to think outside the box and express themselves through their music. Guitar playing is an art, and I empower students to experiment with different styles, compositions, and improvisation techniques, fostering both technical skill and artistic freedom. I believe in clear and open communication. I actively listen to students, understand their goals, and provide constructive feedback. This ensures each lesson is aligned with their individual learning pace and aspirations. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace. I help students overcome obstacles by breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps. Whether it’s mastering a tricky chord progression or improving improvisation skills, I guide students in finding solutions that work for them. In addition to guitar, I can teach relevant subjects like music theory, ear training, and composition, providing a well-rounded approach to music education.

With over 10 years of experience as a dedicated jazz guitar instructor, I specialize in guiding high school and college students to master the art of guitar playing. My teaching approach is centered around personalized learning, ensuring that each student’s unique strengths and goals are considered. Whether it's mastering complex songs, improving improvisation skills, enhancing theory knowledge, or developing ear training and composition techniques, I tailor my lessons to suit individual needs.
I bring a wealth of expertise in various styles, including jazz, blues, and contemporary guitar, helping students build a strong foundation and deepen their musical expression. My teaching philosophy focuses not only on technical proficiency but also on fostering creativity and a deep love for music.
