About Amy
My guitar teaching approach is designed to be engaging and effective, focusing on clear communication, empathy, and flexibility. I begin by understanding each student's unique goals and current skill level, then tailor lessons to fit their needs. I use problem-solving techniques to address challenges and foster creativity through varied exercises in technique, theory, improvisation, and composition. By incorporating practical skills like song analysis and performance practice, I help students build confidence and achieve their musical goals. My goal is to make learning guitar enjoyable and rewarding, adapting to each student’s progress and interests.

With 5 years of experience teaching guitar, I’ve had the pleasure of guiding around 150 high school and college students. My teaching philosophy centers on making learning engaging and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building a strong foundation in technique, theory, and creativity, while also encouraging students to explore their musical interests. Notable achievements include helping students prepare for college auditions and guiding them to win local music competitions. My goal is to inspire and equip students to reach their full potential and enjoy their musical journey.
