My guitar teaching approach blends storytelling, humor, and real-world music references to create an engaging and enjoyable learning experience. I believe music sticks best when it connects to emotion, memory, and a good laugh. Whether we're exploring the sweet ache of a blues bend or the art of tasteful vibrato, I break down complex techniques into relatable, expressive steps.
We dive deep into solo phrasing, helping you find your unique voice on the fretboard. Tone shaping is another core focus because how you sound matters just as much as what you play. I guide you through gear choices, touch sensitivity, and amp settings so you can truly sculpt your sound.
Some learners need encouragement, others thrive on technical depth, and many want both. I meet you where you are, offering structure when you need it and space when you don’t. Each lesson balances challenge with creativity, ensuring steady growth without the pressure.

I'm a dedicated guitar teacher with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Guitar Studies. My passion lies in helping adult learners, especially those returning to music after years away.
My teaching style is warm, patient, and completely judgment-free. Each lesson is tailored to your goals, whether that’s strumming your favorite songs, diving into jazz improvisation, or simply building confidence with your instrument. I believe that learning guitar should be self-paced and pressure-free.
I offer flexible scheduling to fit into your busy life, whether you're balancing work, family, or other passions. I’ve coached many adult students back into music, and watching them rediscover joy through guitar is the highlight of my work.
