About Jessica

I’m Jess, a 19-year-old student currently working towards my Bachelor of Teaching (Primary). Teaching has always been something I’ve felt deeply connected to, and studying education has only strengthened my passion for helping children learn, grow, and feel confident in themselves. I want to become a tutor—and eventually a teacher—because I know how much of a difference the right support can make in a child’s learning journey. Every student deserves to feel capable, valued, and encouraged, and I love being part of that process. My own experiences at school have shaped my belief that learning should never feel intimidating or out of reach, and I’m committed to creating a positive, patient environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and ask questions. Tutoring allows me to make a meaningful impact now while continuing to build the skills and understanding I’ll bring into my future classroom.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to be supportive, engaging, and tailored to each child’s individual needs. I can help with English, mathematics, and general academic support, and I adjust my teaching style to suit different learning levels and personalities. Whether a student needs help understanding new concepts, building foundational skills, or gaining confidence in their schoolwork, I create a positive environment where they feel capable and motivated.

I have a wide range of teaching resources available, including levelled materials, hands-on activities, and structured worksheets, which allow me to support learners at different stages. These resources help keep lessons clear, enjoyable, and appropriately challenging.

I also have experience working with children who have special needs and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and personalised support. My goal is always to make learning accessible, encouraging, and something each child can feel proud of
