Originally from Beijing and educated in Hong Kong with degrees in Psychology and Business, as a bilingually native speaker, Jesse is highly experienced in understanding and helping English speakers' Chinese-learning.

He is a Chinese enthusiast, an active and professional Chinese debate team player with 40+ college debates experiences, the Champion of 2019 Hong Kong Twelve Cup Chinese Debate, a prize-winner of national writing competitions, a professional Chinese writer who has published multiple literary proses and one academic essay, as well as a Gen-Z Internet addict who knows the hottest Chinese topics!

About the lesson

Native in both Chinese and (almost) English, I understand English speakers' mindsets and problems. I teach Chinese in a very personalized way. Usually I would discuss with you about your individualized learning plan and goal, and then design a class for you.

I can be your speaking buddy to discuss hot topics. I can be your writing coach to give you insights and advice on writing. I can start from very beginning to teach you theoretical basics. I can share with you my 40+ Chinese debates expereince, which are the highest levels of Chinese expressions. Or more casually, I would share with you what Z-generation Chinese are thinking and speaking by sharing my thoughts on Chinese movies, celebrities, books, variety shows...
