About Muzi
I’m currently a PhD student at UAL specialising in media industry studies.
And recently started tutoring for Japanese learners. I got my N1 certificate 4 years ago.
Growing up with a mother who is a professor of Japanese culture, I was exposed to Japanese cultural studies from an early age, which has influenced how I view the language as a cultural product. I believe one can learn a language better with an immersive cultural context.

JLPT N1 certificate holder and PhD student at the University of the Arts London with lecturing experience. I specialise in helping students prepare for the JLPT from N5 to N1, with lessons focused on grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, listening skills, and effective exam strategies.
My teaching approach combines structured language learning with cultural context. Growing up with a mother who is a professor of Japanese culture, I was exposed to Japanese cultural studies from an early age, which has influenced my teaching style. I believe understanding cultural context helps learners better grasp how Japanese is used in real situations.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are tailored to each student’s level, learning pace, and exam goals. I provide clear explanations, targeted practice, and guidance to help students build confidence and achieve their JLPT goals.
